Answer:  WORD OF HONOR

(I don’t care for the way the United States has grown more and more militaristic, but I greatly appreciate all those who have served, as well as those who are currently serving.  My biggest problem is with our so-called leaders who put our brave men and women in harm’s way, for dubious purposes.  Our service members don’t call the shots, as far as where and when they are deployed, but they carry out their orders – unquestionably – for love of country.  Besides our gratitude they deserve to be taken care of with healthcare, both physical and mental, and education and employment.  We can’t afford to let our heroes slip through the cracks.

No new clue words today.  Two of the jumbles came up as new, but we’ve definitely seen both “guroh” and “simowd” in the past.  The answer letter layout was fun eleven letter jumble.  I think the quotation marks, in the clue/question, were the big clue for me.

Nice cartoon of a politician honoring our veterans.  Let’s hope that his speech is more than platitudes.  If you’re in a position to do so, hire a vet.  If you know of one who is struggling, see to it that they get help.  Be well and do good, friends.)   —   YUR
