(Maybe only the Jumbles ring as repeats to me?!!!  I’m pretty sure we’ve had this pun sometime before.  And, changing it from “HIM” to “HER” doesn’t earn a pass.  I must say, the guys like to play with weigh!  Made for a good stinky pun though.

We have yet another new clue word today, in “soften”!  It is a bit of a surprise, as it is a very common word.  I guess Hoyt is trying to keep ralis95 busy, updating his world famous clue word database.  All of today’s jumbles appear to be new.  The answer letter layout was an excellent twelve letter jumble.  Nothing about it is obvious.

Great hardware store cartoon!  If the lady is so concerned about her weight, why is she looking for one that saves her a little effort?  An app!  Maybe she should look into cutlery that comes with an app???  Did anyone else notice the *salesperson* – look, I’m being “politically correct”! – looks a lot like Will Shortz?!  Maybe the New York Times Crossword doesn’t pay all that much, and he needs to moonlight at an Ace Hardware!  Be well and do good, friends.)   —   YUR
