Clue/Question: The first time the new judo technique was used on him, he was – – –
Pre-Answer: Four Words (6-letters) (3-letters) (1-letter) (4-letters)

Answer: THROWN FOR A LOOP
(He was positively floored! I’d say today’s Jumble answer made for a good stinky pun. Judo is probably the most defensive of the martial arts. It’s more about countering your opponent’s moves, and using their momentum against them. It’s not like Karate or Kung Fu. It’s more like Wrestling.
All of the clue words are familiar old friends. Five of the six jumbles came up as new. Only “trohet” has definitely been used before. The answer letter layout was a nifty fourteen letter jumble. It did a great job of hiding the final answer.
The cartoon was great. Not sure who the two guys talking are, but I really liked the young girl taking down the full-grown man. And, look who’s squaring off in the background! It’s our old friends David and Jeff, trying to get the better of each other! I think they can learn a thing or two from the little girl. Be well and do good, friends.) — YUR
