Clue/Question: Traveling to Santiago in June, July and August can include – – –
Answer: “CHILE“ WEATHER
(But, if it’s Chile today . . . it could be hot tamale! That’s a very old, bad joke known as a Mexican weather report. And, in today’s day and age it’s probably considered *politically incorrect*. But, guess what? I don’t give a horse’s patootie! This whole “correctness” thing has been taken a bit too far, and there is a definite bias to it anyway.
All of today’s clue words are familiar old favorites. All of the jumbles did come up as new, but I doubt that any one struggled to unscramble any of them. The answer letter layout was an imposing twelve letter jumble, but the solve was still pretty simple.
Nice cartoon of some tourists in a Chilean marketplace. A number of years ago, one of my stepsons dated a Chilean girl for a number of years. She was gorgeous and vivacious. And, she had a cousin who was even more drop-dead gorgeous. Okay. Can any eagle eye out there tell me what I snuck into today’s spoiler? First one earns the coveted Uncle Rave “Attaboy/girl” award! Be well and do good, friends.) — YUR

I don’t see what you may have snuck into today’s spoiler, but I am curious why you included the flag of my home state. Except for the curious similarity in flags, what does Texas have to do with Chile ?
A significant proportion of the Texas population is of Mexican origin, but very few are of Chilean origin.
Obviously, I missed it.
The top flag is Chile and the bottom flag is Texas.
As a guy with whom I used to work with liked to say: You are goofier than a duck on ether, lwc! But still, you have earned the *Attaboy/girl* award for being the first to spot it . . . even if you don’t seem to get it. — YUR
lwc beat you to it, Gary. Although you seem to be the first to get it. LOL! — YUR
No sweat, UR. I did the Jumble about 9:30 am ET. You had not yet posted your solution but it would not have mattered because I was rushing to do the leaves for the fourth time. I checked later when I took a break for lunch. I confess that as I scrolled down the first thing that caught my eye was the flags and I thought “Why almost the same flag picture twice?”. THEN I read your comments and it hit me to look at the flags again. Well, maybe next time. I will save a spot on my fireplace mantel in the hope I win some time. I do enjoy reading your comments and opinions on both the Cryptoquote and Jumble every day even when I do not agree with all of it. It is 6 pm and I do not look forward to it getting this dark at 5 pm tomorrow.
Gotta love a guy who does his own lawn work, Gary! I don’t expect to please all of the people all of the time. The time change is just getting back to reality. I wish they would just end the the back and forth. THAT is what messes people up. But, think of the students who won’t have to wait for the morning bus in the dark, and those poor commuters who won’t have to get up and drive in the dark when they’re only half awake. — YUR
Yes the top flag is Chile but the bottom flag is from our very own lone star state

There ya go, Patrick! I think it might only be obvious to our dear friends from Texas. Of course there is a relatively slight difference, but they’re pretty darn similar too. Chile’s flag came first, so if anyone is going to get bent out of shape over it . . .
