Answer:  LOWKEY

(Kind of a low-key Monday Jumble.  This looks like a piano bar.  Not only that but a piano wine bar.  Ladies only?  Some guys are intimidated by places like this.  They think that you’ll have to join in singing show tunes, or something.  That wouldn’t bother me, at all.  I can carry a tune . . . if someone lends me a bucket.

No new clue words today.  We’ve seen ’em all before.  Two of the jumbles came up as new, but we’ve definitely seen both “ktlen” and “kormes” before.  The answer letter layout was a good six letter jumble.  Not obvious.

Great cartoon of a piano bar.  I guess they serve more than wine, as I see a martini too.  I didn’t realize that Jumble made pianos!  I thought that the tip jar was a nice touch.  Very nice.  Be well and do good, friends.)   —   YUR

Answer:  LET IT GO TO HIS HEAD

(Happy Halloween, everybody!  Sure, it’s a little early, but it Falls on a Thursday this year, so let’s have fun with it while we can.  This isn’t so much a stinky pun, as it is a pumpkin spiced pun.  I don’t mind the pumpkin spiced stuff, although folks do tend to go a little overboard.  I generally avoid it, and hold out for pumpkin pie!  I loves me some good pumpkin pie.

All of today’s clue words are familiar old friends.  However, all of the jumbles are coming up as new today.  I only had trouble getting “gyrate”.  The others I all saw right away.  Fortunately, I didn’t have to back into “gyrate”.  The answer letter layout was an impressive sixteen letter jumble.  It gave nothing away, but it didn’t take much to figure out the final answer.  This is such a familiar theme.  Almost a tradition.

Great period piece cartoon.  I can’t quite make out that blob in the corner, but it could be Washington Irving himself, I suppose.    Lots of fun.  Be well and do good, friends.  Keep a sharp eye out for those trick or treaters while driving!  And, don’t be a stick in the mud.  Keep your lights on, answer the door, and have candy for the kids.)   —   YUR

Answer:  DRIFTED OFF

(I sure hope these guys used sunscreen!  If not, they are going to burn like you wouldn’t believe.  Been there.  Done that.  The rafting was great, but I paid the price.  And how!

None of today’s clue words are new.  Although all of the jumbles appear to be so.  The answer letter layout was a fun ten letter jumble.  It did a great job of disguising the final answer.

Great cartoon of some river rafters.  I rafted down the Delaware a bunch of years ago.  Good times.  I hope they wake him before he reaches the rapids.  Be well and do good, friends.)   —   YUR

Many a time I have wanted to stop talking and find out what I really believed.”   —   Walter Lippmann

(The man knew from B.S.!  Lippmann said that mass man functioned as a “bewildered herd” who must be governed by “a specialized class whose interests reach beyond the locality.” The élite class of intellectuals and experts were to be a machinery of knowledge to circumvent the primary defect of democracy, the impossible ideal of the “omnicompetent citizen”.  – Wikipedia   We only know what they want us to know, folks.  Be well and do good, friends.)   —   YUR

Answer: MAINESTAY

(This is a first class stinky pun!  I really liked it.  I’ve only been to Maine once, but I enjoyed it.  It was five years ago, and it was in Kennebunkport, celebrating my sister’s birthday.  She would go up there at least once a year.  I saw George Bush Sr.’s compound from across a strait of some kind.  It was right around the 4th of July, but it was very chilly during the evening fireworks.

All of today’s clue words are familiar old friends.  Although, all of the jumbles appear to be new.  I didn’t struggle with any of them.  The answer letter layout was a fine nine letter jumble.  Nothing obvious there.  The state motto and the quotation marks around the answer slots were the big clue.

Great cartoon of the vacationing couple.  Lots of coastline in Maine.  They have a lot of bays and inlets and islands too.   It’s the largest state in New England, but just a moderate sized eastern state.  Be well and do good, friends.)   —   YUR
