Answer:  AT A LOSS FOR WORDS

(A great stinky word game pun!.  I’m not a big time Scrabble player, but I think you could rack up some points using those letters, as long as you can make actual words.

No new clue words today!  Five of the six jumbles appear to be new, with only “soflis” having definitely been used before.  The answer letter layout was a nifty fifteen letter jumble.  Nothing obvious about it.  I had to think a bit to come up with the final answer.

This looks like a nice hospital/rehab center game room scene.  Aa fun Sunday Jumble!  Be well and do good, friends.)   —    YUR

I’ve had tile trays like that playing Scrabble, and it is frustrating. Not much better is all vowels. You want a mix. There’s a fair amount of luck in the game based on drawing good tiles as well as skill in seeing words.

You’re right Unc, you can score some points with those letters (say there’s an A on the board next to a Triple Word score square with room around it, so you could make JAW for 39? points), there’s nothing to work with to make a long word and have a better chance at getting bonuses. Scrabble players are always looking to make a “bingo” (lay down all seven tiles at once–50 point bonus), and you can’t do that with her tiles.

I’m no Scrabble expert either though it’s a good game for Jumble players. Serious Scrabble players have to memorize a lot of bizarre words most people have never heard of but which use up common letter tiles. Or be good bluffers.
