Answer: MENUSCRIPT

(I thought this was an excellent Jumble.  A true stinky pun!  I would’ve loved to have posted the spoiler on Friday, if I wasn’t in such a rush to get on the road.  And, I understand that some of you had some trouble in solving it?

All of the clue words were familiar old friends.  However, all of the jumbles came up as new.  For some reason I had some difficulty coming up with “forum”.  The answer letter layout was a beautiful ten letter jumble.  I thought manuscript right away.  Noticed there wasn’t an A.  But, then got the pun as easy as child’s play.

Great cartoon.  I’m sure they’re supposed to be someones.  Maybe Julia Child and her husband?  Maybe Jeff will tell us.  Be well and do good, friends.)   —   YUR

Middle age is when a person your own age looks much older than you think you look.”   —   Author Unknown

(Ooh!  Ooh!  That means I’m still middle aged!  I think the majority of people my age look older than me.  Maybe, I’m fooling myself?  Be well and do good, friends.)   —   YUR

Answer:  BY FAR

(A Monday morning gimme!  Maybe the guys figured I’d be too hungover from my college homecoming/reunion to get through a tough one.  That’s right, folks.  It’s all about me.  This one is almost not a pun.  But, it is a Jumble!

All of today’s clue words are familiar old friends.  Not like some of the people I saw this weekend.  You’re who???  Oh, you haven’t changed a bit!  Yeah, right.  Two of the four jumbles came up as new, with “valeg” and “kayle” having definitely been used before.  I always have a hard time getting “pursue”.  I always try to write down puruse, which is actually spelled peruse.  But, I’m only smarter than the av-er-age bear.  I’m no genius.  The answer letter layout was pretty decent, for only being five letters.

Great golf course cartoon.  The tee markers appear to be white, which would be for you average male duffer.  But, I don’t see any red markers – for the ladies – in front of them.  Hmm.  Maybe they’re down below a bit.  I liked the divots on either side of the teed up ball, and the bunkers flanking the area of fairway where the average drive would take you.  It would probably take me four or five shots just to get near the green.  Forget about the short game.  That’s a monster of a hole.  Be well and do good, friends.)   —   YUR
