SOGEO = GOOSE, NKLAB = BLANK, TUMNTO = MUTTON, LWISEV = SWIVEL — Giving us: OSEANKMTTNSIE
Clue/Question: When the mother bird tried to feed the wrong baby birds, it was an – – –
Answer: “ON–NEST“ MISTAKE
(A sincere faux pas! A straightforward slip-up! A genuine gaffe! A bona fide boo-boo! But hey! It can happen to the best of us. No use in crying over spilt . . . worm. As long as she doesn’t react like that Dallas lady cop! Of course, that is no laughing matter. They really need to tighten up the psych evaluations for people looking to become police!
No new clue words today! Three of the jumbles appear to be new, with “sogeo” having definitely been used before. The thirteen letter answer letter layout was a beautifully cryptic jumble. I don’t think it gave anything away. The cartoon dialog, the clue/question, and the quotation marks and hyphen clued me into the answer.
Cute nature scene cartoon. The baby bird she was about to feed doesn’t seem to mind that she’s not his mom! But, her real one, next branch up, seems to be saying: Hey, Ma! Up here! No teasing mom, when she gets up to the right nest. She still controls the worm portions! Be well and do good, friends.) — YUR

Hey Unc, Had a bit of trouble with the final but Got it eventually..As a proud retired N.YC policeman, I think the “Dallas lady cop” situation is a bit bizarre and unique thats why it’s news..She was off duty when that happened and some other issues where involved..Cops are Human beings and I can only speak for myself but coming on the job required numerous psych test’s.Is it possible that the latest Hatred of the police has led to less than qualified people seeking the job? i will guarantee though if you call 911 tonight a cop will come, A flawed human being probably, but doing everthing possible to help you..GO BILLS!!!
I’m actually a big supporter of the police, Wimpy. But, that doesn’t mean I wear blinders. While the majority of cops are psychologically where they need to be for the job, there definitely is a minority that have either fear issues, or hatred issues. I believe they’ve always been out there, and unfortunately, they have traditionally gotten away with shooting first and asking questions later. Dash-cams, body-cams, and citizens with cell phone cams have just brought more things to light, whereas they used to get swept under the rug. If there is a perceived “hatred” of the police, I think it has more to do with “the blue wall of silence” covering for the bad eggs. That, and too many police honchos falling back on the old line: “They were only doing what they were trained to do.” On some occasions that line has merit, but on many other occasions it just makes you scream: Then change your goddamn training! Increase training on disarming bad situations without using lethal force. A well trained cop should not have to resort to shooting a mentally disturbed person swinging a hammer. Most cops are completely in control of their emotions, and don’t overreact. It’s the few, that somehow slipped through the psych eval cracks, that are giving police a bad name.
We gave the Pats a run for their money today! If you’re a gambling man at least they beat the spread. But, I’m just a fan.
