Clue/Question: The gymnast’s skill on the asymmetrical bars was – – –
Answer: UNPARALLELED
(Ooh! Ooh! I spelled it correctly! That is one difficult word, for me. And, the uneven bars have got to be the most difficult of all the gymnastic routines. Although, none of them look very easy. Men’s gymnastics has it’s appeal, but the women’s gymnastics garner the better ratings, overall. The guys are a little more about raw power, but the women add the elements of grace and dance to it.
All of today’s clue words are familiar old friends. However, all of the jumbles appear to be new. The only one to give me pause this morning was “xieril”. The answer letter layout was a wonderful twelve letter jumble. But, the cartoon’s dialog and the clue/question made the answer abundantly clear to me. Unlike today’s Cryptoquote! That took me some doing.
The cartoon was fantastic! Jeff always pays great attention to detail. The gymnast looks like she could be Simone Biles. How can anyone not love her? She’s cute, she’s powerful, she’s uber graceful, and she’s always spot on. She’s a champ. Proud that she’s an American, as I’m proud of the entire U.S. Women’s Gymnastic Team. Be well and do good, friends.) — YUR
