“The secret of success is making hay with the grass that grows under other people’s feet.” — Author Unknown
(I bet this guy/person worked for the government! For most of us who are fortunate enough to own our own homes, we rarely own the mineral rights, for what is underground. Local governments can plant trees on your property along the street, but it’s your responsibility to trim them, and remove them if they fall. When my neighborhood was part of the unincorporated town there was never an issue of snow removal, if a sidewalk ran along your property. But, as soon as we incorporated into a village they threatened us with fines if we didn’t keep the sidewalk clear! I’m not a huge Libertarian, and it’s not really even about the taxes, but I will say that we are, to a certain extent at least, slaves to the state. I can sympathize with those folks who decide to live in isolation, off the grid so to speak. And, surprisingly, things have only gotten worse over the last three years, so this is not a left/right issue. Representation stinks, there are so many limitations on what we can do, and we’re supposed to be grateful for living in a “free society“. Pisses me off, folks! Anyway, be well and do good, friends.) — YUR
PS. Did anyone else notice the different artist for “Dilbert” today? Not sure if this is an earlier version of the comic, being brought back for nostalgic purposes, or if it is a guest artist. My newspaper didn’t say one way or the other. — YUR

Yes, very different … I wondered if Scott Adams was “swapping out” with another artist today. I also thought “Sally Forth” and “Pearls Before Swine” looked a little different, but “Dilbert” is a almost unsettling.
I had not seen today’s Dilbert because my newspaper is only delivered 3 days a week and today is not one. I did see it online and you are correct. I did some quick Google searches and found a post by Scott Adams from 2016 which MAY explain what is going on. The link below appears safe.

I saw the change in Dilbert too. Here’s why, https://www.hfotusa.org/cnns-jake-tapper-and-cartoonist-scott-adams-to-auction-off-original-dilbert-comic-for-veteran-charity/
Thanks Unc.
Definitely strange, roy! — YUR
Thanks, Gary. It looks like Scott takes a long vacation every three years! Another reader, named Tim, also found a reason that might apply as well. I still need to look at it. — YUR
Beautiful find, Tim! I never knew that Jake Tapper was also a cartoonist! The new Dogbert has a Wilford Brimley/John Bolton mustache! I guess it’s not going to be for six weeks, like back in 2016, but it is all for a good cause. I prefer the tried and true veterans groups, but this one sounds like they do great work too. Thanks, man. — YUR
