Visual Description: Ladies poker night.
RUBLT = BLURT, LOYLW = LOWLY, DADOLE = LOADED, LPTSIN = SPLINT — Giving us: BLRLOWLOADSLIN
Clue/Question: After a successful evening at her weekly poker game, she enjoyed her – – –
Answer: “WON“-DOLLAR BILLS
(I hope no one let the dash/hyphen throw them. It was kind of extraneous. But, it’s still a good stinky pun.
There were no new clue words today, but they were words we haven’t seen in a while. All of the jumbles came up as new. It took me a little while to see “loaded”. The answer letter layout was a nicely cryptic fourteen letter jumble. I was kinda seeing WON right off, but I got distracted. Then, I saw DOLLARS, and forgot about WON. I wrote out BLOWSLIN, finally saw WON again, then figured out BILLS, and the pun!
It’s nice to see Jeff giving equal time to the ladies! Maybe he figured I wouldn’t get up on my soapbox, about the evils of gambling, if they were women! LOL! I got no beef with friendly games. Be well and do good, friends.) — YUR

A poser for me, though I did get it. I penciled in (via keyboard) “win” right away but didn’t see WON until those were the only three letters left. I saw DOLLAR after a minute or two but kept looking for other six-letter words. I needed almost seven minutes to stumble into BILLS as the five-letter word and then finally had it.
The hyphen adds to the mayhem. It’s arguably correct but optional IMO under grammar usage rules so apparently confusing, but as I think about it, DLH has the quotation marks in the right place here. Only the first syllable is a pun; it’s not a two+ syllable pun word which is what I was looking for.
I know, Unc… I’m overthinking again. Guilty as charged. Puzzle solvers tend to be an obsessive bunch.
Very good cartoon, clue flow, and challenge. Felt original. Well done guys!
I struggled with this one like no other in the last month. The dash did throw me off, but that is no excuse. It was one that I would walk away from, do some chores and then start over. When I finally got it I thought ” Duh, it’s obvious. The woman counting the last few dollar bills is the big clue.” Yes, hindsight is 20/20. (no reply needed).
Hey Unc, Had some trouble with Loaded as well. I had alot of trouble with final answer. I got dollar right away but it took a while and alot of looking at cartoon to figure out.. Go Bills…Wimpy
