Visual Description: “Fake News” pooch!
KARME = MAKER, OBATO = TABOO, TNUGIO = OUTING, AEQURS = SQUARE — Giving us: AROTNAE
Clue/Question: When it came to destroying the morning newspaper, their dog was – – –
Answer: ON A TEAR
(Or a shred . . . and a slobber! Hey, everyone’s a critic these days. Even dogs! The dog is probably upset that newspapers no longer use proof readers, and they rely on Spellcheck . . . which only does as the name implies. It does not care about duplicate words, missing words, the wrong homophone, words out of order, etc., etc. I always feel a little embarrassed, as well as angry, when I read these obvious mistakes.
There were no new clue words today. Three of the jumbles did come up as new, with “obato” having definitely been used before. Surprisingly, it took me a couple of looks to see both “maker” and “outing”. Good jumbles! The answer letter layout was a well-made seven letter jumble. But, it was kind of hard hiding a fairly obvious answer.
Cute domestic scene cartoon. Maybe David of Jeff’s parents, living in Florida, or Arizona. It looks like the pooch has even gotten hold of one of Dad’s slippers! Maybe the dog is still in his puppy stage and he’s teething. He will grow out of it . . . eventually. Be well and do good, friends.) — YUR

I hope the Jumble was still in one piece! That’s a cutie in the pic you attached Unc.
