(It took me a bit to get this one started.  Maybe it was the anesthesia?!   This is our first quote from iconic Harper Lee, since I’ve been posting these spoilers.  I’m getting very tired of the commercials for “To Kill a Mockingbird” on Broadway!  If you don’t get them consider yourself lucky.  I’m sure that it’s wonderful, and Jeff Daniels is fantastic.  Maybe, I’m just tired of the woman’s voice, and hearing her calling it “elegiac”.  See, I’m cranky even without the anesthesia, because this has been bugging me for a few weeks.  Welcome to the Cryptoquote Club, posthumously, Ms. Lee!  Be well and do  Good, friends.)   —   YUR

Jumble Spoiler – 09/12/19

Clue/Question:  When the little girl used lipstick to draw a smiley face on the wall, it was – – –

Answer:  FROWNED UPON

(Oh, yeah.  Mom is definitely NOT thrilled with this situation.  But, the little girl looks so proud of herself!  And it is of the both of them, so how mad can mom afford to get?  Hopefully, mom and dad used one of those uber-washable paints!  Otherwise, this will take a major cleanup, and repaint.

All of today’s clue words are old friends.  Three of the jumbles are coming up as new, with “warnd” having definitely been used before.  A fine eleven letter jumble for the answer letter layout.  At first I was seeing something DOWN, but when I wrote out FPRNOUE I saw UPON.  So, I turned my DOWN upside FROWN, to get the final answer.

Cute domestic mother/daughter cartoon.  It’s clear the little girl got the lipstick from her mother’s purse.  Very good Jumble.  Be well and do good, friends.)   —   YUR
