Climate Needs Warriors, Colltalers

When Hitler invaded Poland, 80 years ago Sunday, the world couldn’t possibly take him for the mass-murderer that he became. But his supporters knew. Worst than history repeating itself is to see it’s about to happen again.
Meanwhile, the Amazon continues to burn but the news is already fading. Not that it ever matched the tragedy’s significance to the planet in the first place. But if carbon dioxide is bad, wait for what methane can do to our air.
Speaking of tragedy, August has signed off by claiming its 51th mass-shooting, near Odessa, Texas. The state’s second massacre in a month left eight people dead and over 20 injured. While many don’t expect this issue to be resolved before the next one – and there will be a next one – or ever, Americans must still refuse to normalize it.

The secret of getting ahead is getting started.”   —   Source Unknown

(Well, Laozi said:  “A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step.”  If you don’t get going, you can’t possibly get ahead.  Even my horoscope today said:  You’ll look at the distance ahead and, as impossible as it seems, you’ve already come really far.  So, get going . . . and persevere guys!  Be well and do good, friends.)   —   YUR

Answer:  HAD A BITE TO EAT

(Very cute pun.  I think the lady dropping the burgers and hotdogs is overreacting a bit.  Mosquitoes bite, they don’t sting.  Many/most of the times they bite, you will feel something, but not always.  It’s the next day that you pay!  Maybe it was a monster skeeter?!?!

All of today’s clue words are familiar old friends.  However, all of the jumbles appear to be new.  I had no trouble with any of them, but “domupi” probably was the toughest of the four.  The answer letter layout was a beautiful thirteen letter jumble.  I don’t think it gave anything away.

Fun barbecue/picnic/cookout celebration cartoon.  That citronella candle doesn’t seem to be working very good.  Maybe they’re mutant monster mosquitoes, who’ve grown impervious to citronella!  They might have to move things inside.  Enjoy your Labor Day, folks.  Be well and do good.)   —   YUR
