Answer:  WELCOME RELIEF

(A wonderfully seasonally appropriate stinky pun!  Very often the starting pitcher does not want to be pulled.  But, other times he knows that he’s either spent, or just doesn’t have it that day.  When you have a good bullpen, getting the hook can be a welcome relief.

Apparently “clone” is a new clue word!  Our buddy, ralis95, can add it to his world famous clue word database.  All of today’s jumbles came up as new, but I was able to see them all immediately.  The answer letter layout was an impressive thirteen letter jumble.  It hid the final answer very nicely.  I’m sure that most baseball fans had no trouble getting the answer though.

Great baseball cartoon.  The crusty coach pulling the young hurler, who just doesn’t have it anymore that day.  And, the wily veteran – who’s got the Catfish Hunter look – is relieving him.  I wonder.  Are the Jumbles a farm team of the Tigers, or Cubs???  LOL!  Be well and do good, friends.)   —   YUR
