Clue/Question: When they saw the Paris tower lit up at night, they – – –

Answer: GOT AN “EIFFEL“
(Sacre bleu! What a stinky pun! But, I like it,. And, it works. Pretty much anywhere you go in Paris you’ll get an eyeful. There’s a lot to see there. Of course I’ve never been there, but maybe some day. Lots of unrest there the last few years, with the yellow vest protestors. It’s similar to the Occupy Wall Street movement, but even more intense. Macron is similar to Trump, in that he appears to cater to the rich, so much of their anger is directed at Macron’s tax policies. The movement seems to be spreading to other countries as well. But, we don’t have to time to get into politics.
All of today’s clue words are familiar old friends. However, all of the jumbles are coming up as new. I thought “aeest” was a beautiful “tease”. But, “mniood” nearly knocked me over, before I spotted “domino”. The answer letter layout was a masterful eleven letter jumble. If you didn’t pick up on the gag right away, this might have been tough to solve. The quotation marks definitely helped!
Great cartoon of the Eiffel Tower, at night. I like the river boat passing by. And, the reflection of tower and lights in the water. Very romantic! Be well and do good, friends.) — YUR
