“The hardest thing to learn in life is which bridge to cross and which to burn.” —David Russell
(“Don’t burn your bridges” is a widely used expression. But, there definitely are times in which you absolutely must burn them. Like David has advocated, you just need to be judicious about which ones. We welcome David Russell to the Cryptoquote Club today. Be well and do good, friends.) —YUR
Clue/Question: The tourists enjoyed the view of the castle from the – – –
Answer: “MOATER“BOAT
(Eew! That’s a real stinker of a pun. Kind of like stagnant water, filled with red algae . . . and raw sewage. I can’t imagine these moats smelling all that nice. And, they were probably breeding grounds for mosquitoes in the warmer months. Maybe that’s what kept out the invading hordes, more than just the water obstacle itself.
No new clue words today. But, some fairly challenging jumbles. We’ve seen “foylt” in the past, but the other three came up as new. It took me a few seconds to come up with both “burro” and “debtor”. The answer letter layout was a decent ten letter jumble. I would’ve switched the order of “debtor” and “amoeba”. I think OTBRAMAETO would’ve been a tad more challenging.
Nice drawing of a castle with a moat. Maybe this is some place tha Jeff and family has visited? Be well and do good, friends.) — YUR
