Clue/Question: He started winning more poker tournaments after becoming a – – –
Answer: BETTER BETTOR
(ER versus OR, but unless you stress the OR the words sound exactly the same. It’s a familiar homophonic pun. But, I don’t think we’ve seen it here for quite a while. My wife’s ex-brother-in-law is a big casino gamble. I don’t know what his game is, and actually I don’t care. But, allegedly, when his wife opened the trunk of his car one time it was full of cash. Guys like that may win big very often, but they also lose big. If I’m in need of that kind of adrenaline rush I’ll just jump out of an airplane again.
Our friend ralis95 can rest easy today, as there are no new clue words in this puzzle. Three of the jumbles appear to be new, with “boyhb” having definitely been used before. The answer letter layout was a fine twelve letter jumble. The totality of the Jumble made getting the final answer pretty easy.
Great cartoon of a casino poker table. A nice dealer lady and three losers. The guy to Jeff’s left doesn’t look like he’s old enough to be in a casino. Fun Jumble. Be well and do good, friends.) — YUR

I know some bettors who do both. Jump out of airplanes and bet at casinos
I don’t have a date to cite, but I’m pretty sure as you implied that this same final answer has appeared in Daily Jumble at least once in the last decade. I’m suspicious about a couple of other recent generic final answers as well, which may have been clued in a different context.
So I’ll balance my grumble about (I think) reruns with praise for our puzzlers for five other recent clues, cartoons, and final answers (I’ll just cite clues so as not to spoil answers for anyone who’s behind in recent puzzles they still want to tackle): June 21’s drive-in movie theater answer, June 22’s dinner party answer, June 23’s sand bucket answer, June 26’s hard-to-choose socks answer, and June 27’s bookcase answer. These five in particular felt very original and clever. Well done!
