(He shouldn’t have submitted any effing Merlot!  THAT was his problem.  Just thought I’d throw a little “Sideways” into the Jumble.  A good movie, with Paul Giamatti, Thomas Hayden Church, Virginia Madsen and Sandra Oh.  The cartoon is too contemporary to try to tie it to “The Cask of Amontillado”, a great Edgar Allen Poe story.  That’s about as far as my wine references go, folks.

It looks like Hoyt is really trying to complete the ralis95 clue word database.  Today he has given us “method”.  Another simple word that has somehow escaped being used as a Jumble clue word . . . until today.  The jumble, “tdemoh” completely stumped me, and I resorted to backing into it.  The other three came to me right away, but all four appear to be new.  The answer letter layout was a decent ten letter jumble, but even without the missing “EO” I saw the SOUR GRAPES.

Love the cartoon.  It has a nice wine cellar feel to it.  The casks of wine on the floor were a nice touch.  Maybe the wine making couple are relatives of David, or Jeff.  They are drinking a bottle of Jumble wine!  LOL!  Doubtful it’s a medium dry sherry.  Be well and do good, friends.)   —   YUR

A robust, full-bodied Jumble, and it pairs nicely with today’s “Goose & Grimm” cartoon. Also, exceptionally easy … unlike today’s (challenging) Cryp.

I’ll have to check out today’s “Mother Goose & Grimm”, roy! And, yes. Today’s Cryptoquote was a challenge! — YUR

This puzzle was far from being “The Grapes of
Wrath” but rolled down like sweet perfected Berries☆☆! It had that beautiful flow to it…
I don’t think that many people who indulged in
this exercise had “SOUR GRAPES” at the finish.

The Judges in this competion, I’m told, used a BRISK METHOD to GRAPH out info too choose
the winner…Sort of like something a Professional JURIST would appreciate☆in♤♤s

    Be double Blessed!!

I couldn’t really even back into Method, though I’m sure I did try that combo mentally without writing it down. I got the answer right away, though.
