Visual Description: Weary warriors of the wound table?
CRAIG = CIGAR, NHITK = THINK, OLLGAB = GLOBAL, NNLOIE = ONLINE — Giving us: IARTHKGLLNE
Clue/Question: King Arthur’s meeting at the round table was turning into an – – –
Answer: ALL-“KNIGHTER“
(Just send them a chain-mail! This was a classic stinky pun. A royal groaner! At least it looks like King Arthur provided some libations. Probably mead. Too sweet, for my taste!
I suspected that one of today’s clue words might be new, but it turns out that two are new. I figured that “online” was new, but was surprised to NOT find “cigar” on the world famous, ralis95 clue word database! I just thought that I struggled a little with “cigar” because of my non-smoking bias, not because it’s new. At least I didn’t have to back into it. All of today’s jumbles are coming up as new. The answer letter layout was a noble jumble of eleven letters. Nothing ungallant about it.
Fine castle cartoon. Kind of a sausage-fest though. I like the torch sconces. Is that “brave” Sir Robin, with the chicken insignia? I’m pretty sure it was Lancelot who was the ladies man, so he’s probably the one sporting the Playboy bunny logo Maybe that’s where Hef got the idea! LOL! Be well and do good, friends.) — YUR

ONLINE felt new to me too, as did CIGAR, and both hung me up and earned spots on my list today. I also realized reviewing my challenging Jumble words list that there’s a third common category of words that give me trouble, besides an unusual sequence (CIGAR) or all-common letters that could go together many, many ways (ONLINE): compound words–like ONLINE!–or HEYDAY and DAYBED some weeks back. As seen here, compound words can also have either of the two issues as well.
I couldn’t back into CIGAR or ONLINE today as I didn’t see the final answer until after I got the letters from the four regular words. Good puzzle guys! Well done.
Battle on (with chivalry) all!
Back in the day when I was a member of the Round – Table…..>After everyone left I would sit “Around” that table, THINK & Ponder what just went down on the GLOBAL Front, while puffing on a stolen CIGAR {they always seemed better??¿}
Then I would go ONLINE (ahead of our time)
ask UR “Whats’ – Up??”. Then do some Puzzles,
Play Chess ((Rem., Don’t get Rooked!#*))
Sometimes these sessions would turn out to be, ALL “KNIGHTERs”
What about my private stock of Maidens???☆☆♤♤s…Oh Well!! $
What a crowd^…Byyyyyyyy

I did not see it, but I’m very happy that the Blue Notes won! I watched the first go round 40 years ago, and came away disappointed and dejected. Maybe my NOT watching was a good thing for them?! Congrats to the Blues! — YUR
