Definitely a poser, after Monday’s pushover! Even with guessing (correctly) that three words (ARE LIKE THE) all ended in E, this one took some assembly.
They were likely culprits, roy. But, I couldn’t discount the possibility of the U being the E, and there was only the one SY (TH) in the puzzle. None of the semi-gimme words like THAT, NEVER or PEOPLE to get things rolling. And, that author name just doesn’t roll off the tongue the way many others do. — YUR
