Clue/Question: The tailor specialized in superhero costumes and was – – –

Answer: VERY “CAPE–ABLE“
(Ooh! Daddy like! This pun is giving off a “Batman” vibe, to me. Not the comic as much as the ’60s television show. You might remember, they used a lot of silly puns in that ultra-campy show. I’m also a comic book fan, although it’s been ages since I bought/read one. Owlman bears a slight resemblance to Hawkman, who like Batman, was a DC Comics superhero. I think I have one, or more, of his comics in my old collection. One day, I’ll check that out.
All of today’s clue words are familiar to us Jumble solvers. I consider EMCEE to be a FAKE WORD! Can anybody give me another example of any other *word* that is from the acronym of two, or more words? I sure can’t think of one, off the top of my head. Three of the jumbles appear to be new, with only “meeec” having definitely been used before. The answer letter layout was a fine twelve letter jumble. Nothing obvious about it. I got VERY first, then figured that after the hyphen it would be ABLE. The PCEA gave me the CAPE, and the pun was complete!
Really cute cartoon. I’m guessing that the female superhero is Humming Bird, based on her long beak, and HB insignia on her chest, and cape hanging over the rod. The one in the middle is either a bat, or a cat. A little hard to tell for sure, but a great cartoon. Be well and do good, friends.) — YUR
