Answer:  UP THERE IN YEARS

(Alright ladies!  Before you all get your knickers in a twist – a great expression from the Limeys – I just did that for the rhyme.  Only on a technical level, she might qualify as a “hag”, but she appears to be a pleasant, and vibrant, mature woman.  I can only hope to have that strength and stamina at her age.

I think that Hoyt was pulling our leg a few weeks ago, when he said his friend told him they were running out of Jumble eligible five and six letter *new* words.  And again, it’s such a basic and simple word.  They’ve never used “shirt” before???  Hard to believe, but it’s not on the ralis95 clue word database.  It should be after today.  Two of the jumbles appear to be new, with “sinyo” and “rupuse” having definitely been used before.  The answer letter layout was a very impressive fourteen letter jumble.  Surprisingly cryptic for a Monday Jumble.

Very nice mountain hiking cartoon.  I see the old girl is using two walking sticks.  Hey!  Whatever it takes!  She’s enjoying the fresh air, the sunshine, and her accomplishment.  Kudos to you, ma’am!  Be well and do good, friends.)   —   YUR

Good thing you apologized/explained! I was taken aback by that crack coming from my favorite Uncle! Oh well, please don’t use phrases like that again. We don’t deserve it. Have a good day Unc. And she looks terrific! 👌😁

Uncle Rave, I hope you’re having a great Monday. Just to clarify my comment about new words from awhile ago…What I meant was that a friend of mine wrote a computer program to figure out all new possible Jumble words that we haven’t used yet. It was a fairly big list, but what I said (or meant) was that it wasn’t as big of a list as I’d hoped. So you’ll continue to see new words in the mix for quite a while (a few months I hope) but after that, there won’t be any more new ones according to his program. We’ll have used basically all of them when we get through this new list.

Yeah I couldn’t get this SHIRT buttoned right for a good 20 seconds today. Five common letters, and I spun them in my head fruitlessly. Man that’s frustrating. Good new word. Won’t Get Fooled Again. Fortunately after that I glommed on to UP pretty quickly and went from there, so I didn’t get caught in thin air. Still the double hit of a new somewhat tricky regular word and longer-than-usual Monday final answer made this puzzle a little more challenging than expected.

LOL! Definitely explained, Barb! If I’d just let it go, without an explanation, then I’d need to apologize! My conscience is clear. — YUR

This puzzle gives the universal good advice as one gets “UP THERE IN YEARS” to keep active Mentally/Phisically!*

I know, David. But, thanks for the further clarification. It just seems, to me, that you’re in a bit of a rush to get those unused words out of the way. They’ve been coming pretty hot and heavy lately, cuz. — YUR

As a 71-year-old hiker who tries to hike to the mountain top each year on my birthday, I was thrilled to see this particular jumble, (6/3/19) hag on a crag or not. Only my favorite uncle could get away with a comment like that. Thank you for your website. I always enjoy reading your comments

There you go, Linda G! It’s great to hear that you are one of those brave, adventurous souls, living your life to the fullest. Growing up, I fondly remember something called a *good sense of humor*. In this age of *political correctness* we’ve all become too sensitive, “OUTRAGED”, and – very unfortunately – intolerant of those who have “offended” us. We really can’t afford to be so thin-skinned. It’s just not healthy.

Thank you for the kind words. — YUR
