Clue/Question: The angler knew he’d found the perfect fishing spot the moment he – – –

Answer: CAUGHT “SITE“ OF IT
(Definitely NOT what I was expecting! I almost threw the towel in on this one, and was going to ask the faithful for today’s answer. The four letter word in quotes really threw me off. I kept thinking FISH or CAST had to be part of the pun. I never would have thought that the pun was on the word “spot”. I was thinking the answer had to be in the past tense, but there was no D. I did not pick up on the word CAUGHT until I was starting to write this post. And even then, after figuring the last two words were OF IT, I had to write out IEST, before catching the pun. Was it just me, or did any of you struggle with this one?
No new clue words today. Three of the jumbles appear to be new, with “noggi” having definitely been used before. I had a tough time unscrambling “clnieh” to make “lichen”! The answer letter layout made for a very tough – for me – fourteen letter jumble. I found it to be very cryptic.
Great cartoon of an older couple preparing to fish on a mountain lake. It looked, to me, like they probably argue a lot. I liked the fish jumping out of the water, in the background. Tricky Jumble for me! Be well and do good, friends.) — YUR
