Books serve to show a man that those original thoughts of his aren’t very new at all.”   —   Abraham Lincoln

(I don’t know.  People are still coming up with incredible ideas all the time.  Every time I watch “The Henry Ford’s Innovation Nation”, with Mo Rocca, I’m impressed with all the inventions and new ideas.  The show is geared for teenagers, but my wife and I love it.  I’ve really got to get to the Henry Ford – Museum and Greenfield Village, in Dearborn, MI, one day.  It seems to have everything.  And, maybe I’ll run into Alie Ward.  She is muy caliente . . . in a nerdy sorta way.  Be well and do good, friends.)   —   YUR

Answer:  HIT THE MOTHER LODE

(Happy Belated Mother’s Day to all the moms out there.  I was busy with Mom’s Day activities yesterday, and couldn’t get around to it last night.  I thought it was a fairly challenging Jumble though.  The big clue, for me, came in the clue/question, with it being a GOLD necklace.

All of the clue words were old familiar ones.  But, all of their jumbles are coming up as new.  I don’t think any of them were too tough.  The answer letter layout was a wonderfully cryptic sixteen letter jumble.  Not obvious one bit.

Great family scene cartoon.  Even the dog got into the act!  Mom looks truly touched.  What a good bunch of kids!  And, dear old Dad is hoping he’ll get a Beer-of-the Month Club subscription for Father’s Day, next month.  Be well and do good, friends.)   —   YUR

Until you value yourself, you won’t value your time.  Until you value your time, you will not do anything with it.”   —   M. Scott Peck

(Except maybe write a blog?  I couldn’t decide if this guy was Beck or Peck.  Google settled it for me.  Psychiatrist, and best selling author of “The Road Less Traveled” . . . and a hypocrite.  That’s why I’m giving you a photo of his lovely first wife, Lily Ho . . . the woman that he cheated on.  Maybe I shouldn’t be passing judgment on him . . . but I just did.  It’s possible that this is not actually his first wife, as this actress would have been only 13 in 1959, but . . . you know the internet!  Be well and do good, friends.)   —   YUR

Answer:  BIT PARTS

(Ooooh!  A real Monday morning stinker of a pun!  And my Visual Description only added to the stench.  Anybody have any Oreos?  Never mind.  I remember I bought a family size package just on Friday.  Is it racist if a . . . cough, cough . . . middle-aged white guy calls a black Republican politician an Oreo?  Or, can only black people refer to folks like him as an Oreo?  Maybe the PC police will insist on them being called the O-word very soon???  Hon, don’t forget to pickup a pack of O-words, at the supermarket.  Hey, they go great with milk!

No new clue words today.  However, all of their jumbles appear to be new.  They all came to me right away though.  The answer letter layout was a pleasantly cryptic eight letter jumble.  I could see some people – who don’t know anything about tools – having a tough time with this one.

Relatively simple factory scene cartoon.  All the employees are operating drill presses.  The front guy is holding a drill bit, and has a set of them in front of him.  What a boring job.  Sorry, folks.  I just couldn’t help myself.  Be well and do good, friends.)   —   YUR
