DAIVO = AVOID, DEEGW = WEDGE, UCPPKI = PICKUP, NVEEEL = ELEVEN — Giving us: OIWDPPEN
Clue/Question: The installation of the new sink was very noisy. She wanted the plumbers to – – –
Answer: PIPE DOWN
(A stinky pun, but not as stinky as a backed up toilet scenario! A nice no-brainer to ease into the work week.
All of today’s clue words are already on the ralis95 clue word database. So, I guess what David L. Hoyt said is true. We are approaching the limits of five and six letter words that can only be one word. All of the jumbles appear to be new though. The answer letter layout made for a nice eight letter jumble.
Great cartoon of some plumbers installing a sink. Jeff gave us a very subtle crack-in-the-butt. It could’ve been much worse. Perhaps the editors toned it down. I like how he’s “finessing” the drain pipe with a pipe wrench. The assistant looks a little dim. Oh, well. Be well and do good, friends.) — YUR

The plumbers were on schedule to do the
PICKUP job of installing a new sink at ELEVEN
A.M. They had done this task many times together.
The lady of the house tried to AVOID their excessive noise levels banging (get it?)
in some WEDGES at the bottom of the door that led to the basement. This door did not have a lock to it and was rather loose^
Finally, when the racket was too much, even in the downstairs Rec. Room with the TV on, she screamed at them to “PIPE DOWN”!!
Fortunately, the plumbers finished their job
briskly, to the glee of them & the Lady…
At last, to the younger ones out there in cyberspace; If you get into a trade/profession
you EnjoY*♡ and find out you have a knack to learn it well, do a little research to check if this opportunity is exportable. Many are obviously
going to need to be done here by skilled people.
To sum-up: It is hard to pinpoint; But get into something that having robots doing it is impracticable for, to give a #, 25 yrs.
Stay safe and be Blessed!^**
