“Sitting has become the smoking of our generation.” — Nilofer Merchant
(True. Most of the jobs today are so sedentary. Usually sitting in front of some kind of computer screen. And at the end of the day, when we are at home, we’re usually too tired to do much of anything but sit in front of a television screen. Or another computer, or handheld device. I’ve been utilizing the Apple Health app on my phone, but it seems to be all over the place. One day it shows only 4750 steps – low end – and some days it’s up to 7200 steps, or more. I guess some days I might open the app a little late, but the disparity is still pretty large. This Nilofer Merchant is new to me. She appears to be extremely successful. Perhaps best known for her TED Talk on “Onlyness”, and her book “The Power of Onlyness”. Very bright woman. And, now she’s a member of the Cryptoquote Club! Be well and do good, friends.) — YUR

My Garmin Vivo smart 3 counts steps very accurately (but not stairs). But I have to walk about 4 miles to get my 10000. So I end up looking like Edith on All In The Family, jogging little strides around the house and yard. Drives my husband nuts.
LOL, Joy! — YUR
