Jumble Spoiler – 03/28/19

Clue/Question:  As kids of cautious parents, they could only watch TV if they went through the – – –

Answer:  PROPER CHANNELS

(A very good, stinky pun!  Approved by the NEA – National Education Association, but not necessarily by Betsy DeVos.  And, maybe even by the NEA – National Endowment for the Arts, but not necessarily by the Trump administration.  But, surely by the CBP – Corporation for Public Broadcasting!  The kids used to be able to watch “Sesame Street” for free on PBS, but now, if they want to watch a first-run episode, they have to pay a premium to watch it on HBO.  Who do you think President Trump’s favorite “Sesame Street” character is?  Cookie Monster?  Big Bird?  Oscar the Grouch?  Why do I kind of doubt it would be Rosita???

All of today’s clue words are as familiar as most of the “Sesame Street” characters.  Three of their jumbles came up as new, with “tnnih” having been used sometime in the past.  The answer letter layout was a very ambitious fourteen letters long jumble.  I think it did a commendable job of disguising the answer.

Great cartoon of a couple of moms, and a couple of kids.  The moms with their coffee, at a table, and the tots with their juice boxes, in front of the tube.  The kids are all wide-eyed and engrossed.  Lots of fun.  Be well and do good, friends.)   —   YUR
