Answer: PUTTER AROUND
(A classic stinky pun, using a great old expression. I don’t know how many times I asked my mom what she’s been doing, and very often she would reply: just puttering around. I’ve seen comparisons of putter to fritter, but fritter is more wasteful. Putter is just a little more casual, like doing the crossword puzzle . . . or the Jumble.
All of today’s clue words are already on the ralis95 clue word database. Two of the jumbles came up as new, but we’ve definitely seen “racyr” and “lonpel” in the past. I didn’t struggle with any of them today. The answer letter layout was another impressive twelve letter jumble. It hid the final answer very nicely.
Fine cartoon of a golf course’s putting green. The wife is a little distracted, while the guys have their eyes on the prize. Maybe she’s just there to spend quality time with her hubby. At least they’re both soaking up some vitamin D. Be well and do good, friends.) — YUR
