(Lula Mae Hardaway! Boy, could the world use Stevie’s mama right about now!  After the recent mosque shootings in Christchurch, New Zealand the world is sorely lacking in both love and compassion.  Why can’t some people just adhere to the Golden Rule, and leave all the archaic trappings of tribalism in the past . . . where they belong?  I remember all the *arguments* for the TSA and Homeland Security, and the entire USA PATRIOT Act, following the “attacks” of 9/11/01.  The notion of making the country, and the world, “secure” always struck me as hollow.  There is no such thing.  And, there never will be.  Not the way things are going.  The hatred and resentment of so many, all around the world, just seems to grow and grow.  The advent of social media appears to be a leading factor, because every nut with an axe to grind can easily find a kindred spirit.  The genie is definitely out of the bottle.  What the heck is the answer, people???  I, for one, do not see a silver lining anywhere on the horizon.  Someone needs to come up with some kind of hatred vaccine, because this is bordering on a pandemic.  Be well and do good, friends.)   —   YUR

Answer:  WHEN THE TIME COMES

(A great literal/figurative pun!  And, a fairly challenging solve.  You just knew the word TIME had to be in there somewhere.  Right?  Are they still building clock towers anywhere anymore?  Hmm.

None of today’s clue words are new, but all of the jumbles appear to be so.  The only one to give me pause was “ostuc”.  The others I saw right away.  The answer letter layout was another brilliant thirteen letter jumble.  I thought it disguised the final answer very nicely.

Good clock tower cartoon.  Not sure where this is supposed to be.  Maybe Italy, or somewhere else in Europe?  I liked the little workmen on the scaffolding.  Maybe this is a replacement clock for an existing tower.   Be well and do good, friends.)   —   YUR
