Visual Description: Surly sexist sicko?
NCULH = LUNCH, WEYNL = NEWLY, FCDAEE = DEFACE, AIPIRM = IMPAIR — Giving us: LNNELDAEIMR
Clue/Question: The nurse was trying to do his job, but the patient was being extremely – – –
Answer: ILL–MANNERED
(Not such an easy one for me, for some reason. It should have been much more apparent, as it makes so much sense, and it is a great pun. I was going the other sick way, trying to make it MAL something. But LNNEDEIR wasn’t all that promising. It took me a while to see ILL. But when I saw that, I had my Aha moment.
None of today’s clue words came up as new, but all of the jumbles did. For about half a second I thought that “deface” was facade. But, other than that, I saw all the clue words right away. The answer letter layout was a wonderful eleven letter jumble. It definitely had me going for a few minutes. I put it down and solved the Cryptoquote, and then came back and saw the answer.
Fine hospital room cartoon. The grumpy patient is very amusing, and the nurse looks very professional. My sister is a great nurse, but I know a good number of male nurses as well. The nurse on duty when my mom passed was a male nurse, and he was fantastic. For some, the old gender biases die hard, I guess. Be well and do good, friends.) — YUR

I thought facade too.
Mannerd is missing an “e”. I gave up on this one!
Thank you, Barbara. I’m really off my game lately. I will fix it. — YUR
Ditto both on thinking ‘deface’ was ‘facade’, and having to put the puzzle down for a bit, before coming back to see the solution! Nah, UR, you’re still rocking it…you have alot on your plate, so what’s a few minor goofs now and then?! it’s a good day here if typos and the like are my only snafus for the day!
Thanks, Jenn! I need to be more patient with myself. — YUR
