Jumble Spoiler 02/16/19

Visual Description:  Privileged putz of a passenger.

Clue/Question:  The flight attendants were under a lot of stress and were feeling the – – –

(KICK HIM OFF!  KICK HIM OFF!  KICK HIM OFF!  I’m sure there is the occasional time when an important call needs to be completed.  But, usually it’s just some self-important douche, trying to make himself look like a big shot.  All the other passengers should be able walk down the aisle . . . and slap his silly assed face . . . as payback.  Hey!  They could make that a new frequent flyer perk!  And people wonder why I’m not an airline CEO!

All of today’s clue words currently reside in the ralis95 clue word database.  All of today’s jumbles made it into my Tags “database”, which makes them *new*.  The word “seize” defies the I before E except after C rule.  What a dumbass rule!  If a rule has that many exceptions then why is it even a rule?  The jumble “bnard” was a gimme.  I may have singed a neuron, or two, coming up with “scorch”.  And, “plaque” is a never-ending battle, but you gotta deal with it before it becomes tartar!  Brush, floss, and rinse with an antiseptic mouthwash, regularly, folks.  Super 13-letter jumble for the answer letter layout!  I don’t think it gave anything away.  But, just about anyone who has ever flown before has heard the term “cabin pressure” before.  So, the answer shouldn’t have been too tough to get.

Fine airline cartoon.  Not sure why the attendants are saying “them” and “they’re” when it seems to be a single jagoff, giving their co-worker a hard time.  I thought that the oxygen masks that two of them are holding were unnecessary bonus clues.  Those safety speeches usually take place after they’ve gotten everyone to comply with the electronics shutdowns . . . and, before cocktails are served.  But, I’m just being picky.  Be well and do good, friends.)   —   YUR

It’s a special kind of rage in the cabin these days. 🙂

And . . . sometimes warranted. The flight attendants are not always at their best, but it’s usually not their fault. They’re generally overworked, and underpaid. And, they’ve been put in the position of having to inform passengers of, and enforce, the restrictions of the airlines. It’s the big money-grubbing execs who are to blame, for the overall state of flying these days. I’ve always loved traveling, but I no longer love to fly. With certain distances it’s unavoidable, unless you have all the time in the world. And, who really has that much time? — YUR

I only fly if I have to go outside of CONUS, but that’s generally limited to Hawaii. My friends there like to say that they normally vacation on the islands because ‘going out of state means a minimum 5hr flight.’. And that only gets you to Seattle or LA. 😀
