(A gripping and form-fitting pun! Ball step, heel toe? With these mittens on, I can’t quite put my finger on it. Except that today’s Jumble was quite comfortable.
We appear to have a new clue word today, in “woodsy”. If so, our good friend ralis95 can add it to his world famous clue word database. The other five clue words were familiar old friends. Five of the jumbles came up as new, with only “sawlee” having definitely been used before. None of them gave me too much trouble. The answer letter layout was a nicely cryptic, 16-letter jumble. I found nothing obvious about it.
The cartoon has lots to like about it. Attentive sales people, serving happy customers their quality products. It’s kind of funny how our friend Damidwesterener picked up on Will Shortz’s name from yesterday’s Jumble. It appears that the man helping the woman with the boots is Will Shortz, of New York Times crossword fame! I think Jeff likes to insert him into a Jumble cartoon, on an annual basis. It just adds to the fun! Be well and do good, friends.) — YUR
