Clue/Question: The lawyers met for lunch at the – – –

Answer: FOOD COURT
(Sounds like a new sitcom, to me! It could be a re-working of “Night Court”. You could have an assortment of judges, bailiffs, attorneys, fast-food employees, and new – and repeat – offenders, all interacting at a county courthouse Food Court, instead of in the courtroom! Legal issues, current events/politics, romance, comedy . . . and agita, all in a slightly more democratic setting than a formal courtroom, where the judge always has the final say. What say? Does yer old uncle have something here? Someone contact Norman Lear, or Marcy Carsey, and let’s pitch the idea to them. Too bad Reinhold Weege is no longer with us.
None of today’s clue words are new. However, three of the jumbles came up as new, with “toodu” having definitely been used before. That’s the only one that I hesitated on. You know me an those pesky compound words! The answer letter layout was a delightful jumble. Nothing obvious there.
The cartoon captures a food court very nicely. You see the diners eating a nice variety of foods; like pizza, Chinese, a burger, a salad, and something that could be either a wrap or maybe a burrito, or taco. I really liked the “You Are Here” map on the wall, by the entranceway, too. Great Monday Jumble fun! Be well and do good, friends.) — YUR
