Clue/Question: The couple who had their sofa re-covered with a very expensive fabric were – – –

Answer: MATERIALISTIC
(This is a good stinky pun! Kind of a literal/figurative pun. I almost expected a hyphen between the L and the I, but it works regardless.
No new clue words today. Three of the jumbles did come up as new, with “ciwet” having definitely been used before. I didn’t find any of them difficult. The answer letter layout was a very impressive 13-letter jumble. I wouldn’t be surprised if some of you struggled a bit to get the final answer.
Great cartoon of a couple of yuppies/preppies. Is that what they’re still called? Is there a specific term for rich hipsters? That’s a funky looking, modern statue of . . . a dog. A modern looking couch, a marble pillar, and a photo of the couple with their pricey sports car completes the scene. Is shag carpeting making a comeback? Could be, I suppose. They say everything old is new again. Be well and do good, friends.) — YUR
