(Okay. I get it. Baby steps. It’s the first day of a new year, some of us might be a little hungover, yada yada yada, so let’s make this a gimme. It’s okay. We know they’ll get more challenging as time goes on.
All of today’s clue words are old favorites, and one of the jumbles – “galee” – has been used before. The other three are coming up as new. The answer letter layout didn’t give anything away. The cartoon and clue/question set this one up perfectly. This is one of those that most could probably solve without even unscrambling the jumbles.

Indeed some might be a little hungover. GET the HANG OF IT is what I thought right away, too. But per the Flash online edition of the game at Universal, that’s wrong. According to them the right answer is
GET the _HAN GO FI.
I don’t know why we didn’t think of that.

True that. To really mess things up, we need a computer.
But if I were in charge of game/puzzle syndication at Universal… Andrew McMaster, this champagne toast is for you…anyone who really understood what gaming and puzzling meant to the people trying hard to solve these tests would know that more than a very rare error along these lines was unacceptable. That’s a line we crossed years ago and continue to cross monthly. Responsible people should be gone from Universal and replaced by others with better attention spans and dedication to getting it right. I know DLH and JK get this. Others in the chain of online distribution of Jumble do not..
