(You can’t call today’s pun “stinky”. That wouldn’t be appropriate. How about . . . aromatic? Like cinnamon, and pine needles, and peppermint. Maybe a little nutmeg. You can also throw in the enticing smells of your favorite roasting meat and veggie dishes! Hey, it’s Christmas! The original, international day of thanksgiving. Be joyous! Be grateful! Show the love. Be the love.
All of today’s clue words are familiar old friends. But, all of the jumbles came up as new. Fortunately, none of them stumped me any. The answer letter layout was a nifty, cryptic jumble too.
The cartoon shows the little girl making gifts for the holidays of the season. A little for Christmas. A little dreidel for Hanukkah. And, some Rasta beads for Kwanzaa. A beautiful inclusive cartoon.
I’d like to take this opportunity to thank David and Jeff for all the great work they do in providing us great Jumbles, all throughout the year. It’s more than a job for them, it’s a labor of love, and it shows. We’re all very fortunate that these two talented gentlemen got together to do the Jumble. Merry Christmas to all. Be well and do good, friends.) — YUR
