(This guy has kinda flown under my Country music radar.  Of course it’s not exactly my genre, but I am familiar with most of the big names.  Luke, Alan, Garth, Clint, Tim, Randy, Brad, Dierks, Jason, Kenny, Blake . . . and that pretty boy from Australia.  How could I not be, with a CMA Awards show coming just about once every goldarn month!  I hear that’s what the shooter at the Thousand Oaks bar screamed as he started shooting.  “Not ANOTHER CMA Award!!!”  Too soon?  Poor taste?  Ah, you’ll get over it.  Anyway, I haven’t heard of Gary before.  Well, we welcome him to the Cryptoquote Club today, anyway!  He looks like a fine fellow.  Is this quote derivative of an earlier quote though?  It sounds very familiar to me.  Hmm!  Be well and do good, friends.)   —   YUR

PS.  Apologies in advance to the friends and families of the victims of the Borderline Bar and Grill shooting, for my “joke”.  These kind of mass killings have become all too common in our country.  And, even though the vast majority have involved guns, I believe the bigger issue is the sorry state of mental health in our country.  We have so many people hurting – in so many ways – with far too little access to psychological help.  We should be able to do so much better.  If we don’t, things are very likely to continue to get even worse.  Peace.   —   YUR

(A filthy, stinky pun!  But, I kinda like it.  Jumble fans are funny that way.  The worse the pun, the better we like it!

All of today’s clue words are already on the ralis95 clue word database, so no updating required, boss-man.  Three of the jumbles came up as new, with “merig” having been used some time ago.  This is the second day where a clue word has started with a J and had a double G in the middle.  It’s not often we see that.  The answer letter layout was an excellent jumble.  Nice and cryptic.

Great rural scene cartoon.  That Jeep has definitely seen better days.  To say it needs a lot of work might be an understatement.  $500 might be paying too much!  And, of course the kid wants to get it.  Even if it weren’t repaired, he’d probably just like sitting in it, up on blocks, pretending to drive it.  Ah, those were the days!  Be well and do good, friends.)   —   YUR
