“Half of being smart is knowing what you are dumb about.” — Solomon Short (alter ego of: Daniel Foreman, a creation of David Gerrold)
(We welcome David Gerrold to the Cryptoquote Club today! I know I’m *dumb* about myriad things. I sometimes come off as a bit of a smart-ass, but I’ve always taken Dirty Harry words very seriously: “A man’s got to know his limitations.” Be well and do good, friends.) — YUR

Aside from the *really obscure* author, this one was rather hard to get started on! (As was today’s “Celebrity Cryptoquip.”) It’s a little more positive than Socrates’ maxim, “I know that I know nothing.” Thanks for the background on Solomon/ Daniel/ David.
It took me a little time to start as well, roy. I started with the O’s, and figured KNOWING WHAT YOU ARE SURE ABOUT! I wasn’t so SMART until I got DUMB! — YUR
Glad to see I’m not the only one who had trouble solving this one.
