Answer:  SHORT AND “TWEET“

(A clever, new millennial pun!  And, it makes me smile because it reminds me of Tweety Bird.  I used to have an aunt whose nickname came about because of her big blue, wide-eyed enthusiasm, and she ran around like a little Tweety Bird.  Sadly, she’s gone.  But memories of her live on in the hearts of my family.

None of today’s clue words are new.  However, three of the jumbles did come up as new.  We’ve definitely seen “taclet” some time in the past.  The answer letter layout was a beautiful 13-letter jumble.  By itself it gave nothing away.  It was the combination of the quotation marks, in the final solution section, and the word Twitter, in the clue/question, that made getting the answer very easy for me.  Hopefully, for you guys too!

The cartoon does a fine job showing how far too many people are these days.  Kinda sad.  I just came back from taking Carol to the eye doctor, and picking up some Italian take-out from Uncle Giuseppe’s, and I just realized that I had left my cell phone charging on the kitchen counter.  Two and a half hours and I didn’t even miss the darn thing!  Imagine that!  Be well and do good, friends.)   —   YUR
