Clue/Question: The display at the Levi Strauss Museum showed the dungarees’ – – –
Answer: “JEAN–EALOGY“
(A pungent pun. Butt, tons of fun! There really is a Levi Strauss Museum, but it’s not here in the good ol’ US of A, it’s in the house that Levi was born, in the ironically named town of Buttenheim, Germany. It’s a small town of about 3600 people in the Bavaria region. Ol’ Levi is their claim to fame!
All of today’s clue words are old favorites, while three of the jumbles appear to be new. They’ve definitely used “zagel” some time in the past. “Podory” looks/sounds like it really could be a word. It looks like a word . . . that I can’t think of at the moment. The answer letter layout was a riveting jumble! It gave nothing away.
Fun cartoon. But “dungarees”??? Only the Brits, and people pushing 90 call blue jeans dungarees. I pretty much live in blue jeans. “Deep greens an blues are the colors I choose.” Usually Levis, but I’ve got other brands, and even some store brands. Do some people still pay extra for well-worn, holey jeans? If so, I’ve got a few pair I could part with. Be well and do good, friends.) — YUR
