Clue/Question: When Billy dared his buddy to jump the fence, he was trying to – – –

Answer: “GOAT“ HIM INTO IT
(Smells like goat! Wet goat. Because that is one stinky pun! And, a pretty simple solve. I like that Hotels.com commercial where Captain Obvious does goat yoga. I think there are pugs in it too.
None of today’s clue words are coming up as new. However, three of the jumbles appear to be so. Only “teypt” is showing up as having been used before. The answer letter layout was an interesting and cryptic jumble. By itself, it gave nothing away. It was the combination of the quotation marks and the cartoon that made it easy for me. I suppose if you’re not familiar with the word GOAD this might have been a little tough to get.
The cartoon was great again . . . as usual. Great goats, nice farm scene with a barn and windmill in the background. I liked the chicken taking offense to the one goat’s comment. I’m giving you baby goats, because they’re cuter. Be well and do good, friends.) — YUR
