OTMTO = MOTTO, FUTFS = STUFF, LAGIOE = GOALIE, NARPYT = PANTRY — Giving us: OTTOSTFOAIPNY
Clue/Question: The old roof was constantly in need of repairs. The owner had to – – –

Answer: STAY ON TOP OF IT
(Good pun! And, one that I should have seen much faster. Duh! I guess Paul – the Jumble Champion – has nothing to fear from me! At first I was thinking the first word was STOP and the third word ANY. I asked myself what else could I do with the Y, and I came up with STAY. Then the rest – and the pun – fell into place.
No new clue words today. However three of the jumbles do appear to be new, with “narpyt” having been used before. I thought “lagioe” was a great jumble, but I got “goalie” rather quickly. Not a lot of six letter words have four vowels, and I guess it is now ingrained in my memory banks. The answer letter layout was a great 13-letter jumble. It threw me for a few minutes.
Nice exterior domestic scene cartoon. I thought that the word “situation”, in the dialog, was going to be key to the answer. But, it took me some time to . . . nail down the answer. Be well and do good, friends.) — YUR
