(Classic stinky puns always make for the best Jumbles! And, today’s was a classic play on words. Lots to like about this Jumble.
None of the clue words are new today. Which is just as well, because ralis95 rarely does the Sunday Jumble. But, all of the jumbles came up as new. I had to skip over both “gurney” and “accrue”, because the jumbles were so good. I was able to see “gurney” the second time around, after toying with the idea of either gunnery or urgency, but lacking a letter in each case. But, I had to back into “accrue”, which is a testament to Hoyt’s great jumble, because I’ve gotten “accrue” much more easily in the past. The answer letter layout was an impressive 17-letter jumble, but the answer came to me quickly, even without the A and E of “accrue”.
I’d have to credit Jeff’s great cartoon at setting up the answer for me. The woman is clearly just wading, while the hubby and child are enjoying being more fully submerged. It looks like another family surrounding a fire pit further up the beach, although they’re awfully close to the water for a fire. And, the classic sinking sailboat on the horizon is always the cherry on top! Great Sunday Jumble. Be well and do good, friends.) — YUR
