(Ooh!  The dark side of the Jumble?  Well, it’s part of real life.  Not everyone goes through it, but about 48% of married couples get divorced by their 20th year of marriage.  Carol and I are coming up on 32 years, so I guess we’re doing something right.

All of today’s clue words are old favorites.  The first two jumbles appear to be new, with “funxil” and “virita” having definitely been used before.  The answer letter layout was a splendid jumble.  Not obvious.

Everyone looks “bitter” in today’s cartoon.  Nothing remarkable about a couple of lady friends chatting over a glass of wine.  The sad-sack ex-hubby is toast!  Say bye-bye, bro.  Be well and do good, friends.)   —   YUR
