“October’s poplars are blazing flaming torches lighting the way to winter.” — Nova S. Blair
(I figured it probably had to be Nova, as none of the other remaining – unused – letters made much sense. I’m not familiar with her work and I could find no bio on her. Regardless, we welcome her to the Cryptoquote Club today! Be well and do good, friends.) — YUR

That name was new to me, too, UR! This was all I could find, and it differs slightly from today’s Cryp …

Is there a mistake in today’s puzzle?..in October..the b is a k..in blazing..the b is an n..confused me!!
Roy,
I see it says Nova Bair (no L). — YUR
Laura,
Maybe your newspaper messed something up. Mine was fine. — YUR
“Flaming”, not blazing. B in October = code letter K. First code letter in flaming is N, which must = F, and G=M, not Z.
You are correct, Mel! I probably could be excused for the Z, but I really should’ve picked up that I’d already used the B in October, and Blair. (But, I like BLAZING!) Thanks for the correction! — YUR
