Clue/Question: For the pool shark, it was like stealing money, thanks to his ability to – – –

Answer: PICK POCKETS
(Billiards halls usually have a shark, looking for some dupe. Some patsy. A “fish”. Someone they can tease a bit, and then gobble up. It’s a game within the game, for the shark. The lesson is not to play pool for money, with strangers.
All of today’s clue words are old favorites. We’ve seen the jumble “tonef” before, but the other three seem to be new. I tried to make science out of “scenic”, before I ran out of room. But, other than that, I had no troubles today. The answer letter layout was an outstanding jumble. A little unusual seeing three sets of repeating consonants. The shark’s comment set up the answer for me.
Fine drawing of a pool table, and the cast of characters. Just looking at the shark, I don’t think I would have bet with him. He’s got that shifty look! Be well and do good, friends.) — YUR
