Clue/Question: Directing the third graders’ stage production was tough and certainly not – – –

Answer: CHILD’S PLAY
(“So come with me, where dreams are born, and time is never planned. Just think of happy things, and your heart will fly on wings, forever, in Never Never Land!” I think for the teacher, right now, it’s more of a nightmare! Bring back school corporal punishment? No. Bring back parents taking disciplining their children seriously? Most definitely! Just like with political correctness, some things have just gone too far. “Time outs” and speaking to your child in only dulcet tones is as effective as a screen-door on a submarine. Children are always testing limitations. It’s how they learn. When they’re not taught that there are boundaries, and that there are repercussions for crossing those boundaries, they are jeopardizing the entire socialization process. Of course self-esteem is important. But not at the expense of manners and respect. How can you expect to have any kind of civilization without civility?
All old friend clue words today. Three of the jumbles appear to be new, with “blimc” having definitely been used before. None of them gave me any trouble today. Before anyone gets too bent out of shape, Advil is not a real word. It’s a brand name. The answer letter layout was a master jumble! Nothing obvious at all. I hope you all saw David’s explanation of the font change.
Great job of showing the mayhem, bordering on complete anarchy, Jeff. That teacher is going to need a couple of Advils! Or, a couple of glasses of wine after work. Very amusing Jumble, guys. Be well and do good, friends.) — YUR
