Clue/Question: The Frisbee golf course was closing. The couple played to have – – –
Answer: ONE LAST FLING
(Oh, oh, oh! Let’s not forget our family values, guys! LOL! This made for a great, stinky pun. At least this was an open-air affair. That should be a little healthier.
All of the clue words were old favorites again. However, all of the jumbles appear to be new. I was a little uncertain with “cagey”, but I gave in to my reservations. The answer letter layout was a great 12-letter jumble. Not obvious at all.
Great cartoon, as always. I think we had a Frisbee golf themed one a month, or so, ago. It’s very popular out west. I saw some courses when I was in Colorado. Be well and do good, friends.) — YUR

Yeah, I liked the pun and final answer but had the same surprised eyebrow raise and reaction when I unscrambled it, because the guys usually don’t Go There. I wonder if they got even one “Hey! This is a family newspaper!” complaint..
Bob Dylan had a riff on pre-1970s country music as being more genuine than the sanitized corporate Nashville that came a couple decades later because earlier artists would deal with real-life issues like yo’ cheatin’ heart. No sense sweepin’ real life under the rug, he said; it’s gonna come out one way or another.
Well, I did not even think to go their guys! I went directly to them “flinging” the frisbee! Rather funny!! LL
It’s not the clue or final answer but the dialogue in the cartoon that makes a pun playing on the word “fling” and suggests that the couple in the cartoon had been having an extramarital affair. Just a little spicier than your average (any other?) Jumble puzzle.
It doesn’t take much for me to go there, David. My mind is usually in the gutter anyway! — YUR
OMG…pet peeve…..it’s THERE not THEIR on my post! Blaming on spell check! LL
Hi Unclerave, why don’t you put some special word puzzle on 15th August
I don’t make the puzzles, friend. I just solve them, and then post the “spoilers” so folks don’t have to wait til the next day. Maybe David L. Hoyt and Jeff Knurek can come up with a Jumble to celebrate India’s Independence Day! They sometimes read the comments on this site. — YUR
