(Today’s Jumble solve is courtesy of my beautiful daughter!  I was busy with 9/3’s, 9/4’s, and 9/15’s puzzles, so I let her handle today’s.  I did help her on “rotate” and “toupee”.  For some reason, I couldn’t find “toupee” on the ralis95 clue word database.  But, I’m almost certain we’ve had it before.  What do you guys think???

All of the jumbles came up as new.  The answer letter layout gave nothing away.  It was a fine jumble.  I think the leading nature of the clue/question, and the depiction of the climbers, made getting the answer relatively easy.  My daughter got the answer despite having trouble with “rotate” and “toupee”.

(This would have made for a nice 9/11 tribute Jumble.  The official lies still make me so angry, to this day.  It’s still unfathomable, to me, that SO many just accept this silliest of premises.  Keep repeating a lie often enough and people will believe it to be truth.  A sick irony that our country has adopted this Joseph Goebbels approach to “leading” our country.

There were no new clue words this day.  That’s right, kids.  I’m baa-aack!  Only “dartns” is an old jumble.  The other three are new.  The answer letter layout was a fantastic jumble.  Very nicely cryptic.  I can see some folks struggling to get this day’s answer.

The cartoon is wonderful.  Not that I necessarily belief in ghosts, but I could see the possibility of past firefighters, and police, keeping an eye on the public that they so nobly served.  It’s a comforting thought.  Be well and do good, friends.)   —   YUR
